How can I

keep Oreo from jumping around and on me in the show ring?  He did this the other week at the fair when they finally called our class!  He walked in there wonderfully.  I thought, "Oh, good.  He'll be wonderful".  How wrong I was.  The judge started to come near, and he started bouncing and then jumped up on me.  I was trying to get him to settle down and the judge said to me, "Don't let him jump on you".  Um, duh!  I'm trying to get him to settle down here.  Is there a way that I can get him to not do this in the ring?  I'm thinking that he was just so excited to be there he couldn't help it.  Once we started moving around the ring, he was very good and for the rest of the class he was very good.  In fact, during the awards, he laid down next to me like nothing was wrong or exciting at all.  He just collapsed in a satisfied pleasant mood.

Obedience training.  Ability to signal your dog without words to convey what you want him to do. Takes some work but can be accomplished

Sounds greyt, but he's an angel at home.  In fact, with the exception of being somewhat strong going into the Petco Friday, he's an angel out in public, too.  He goes up to everyone, tail going.  I would love to be able to go into the ring and have everything be
